AHSCS Round 9

Zach Ingram

AHSCS Round 9

September 25, 2011

Pre-Race: We arrived at the race Saturday afternoon to perfect conditions. The track looked good, but I knew it was going to be very fast like always. We did a practice
lap and everything looked good. I was ready for a great race.

Race: I got a good start, going into the woods behind Bryan Vaughan. I followed him the first lap unable to get around. I passed him at the beginning of the second lap and
led for most of that lap. He got back around me at the end of lap 2. I followed
him once again for the third lap. After lap 3, Vaughan pitted and I got back
by. I put my head down and charged from there. I went down that lap, but
nothing major. I pushed to the finish and ended up with a good lead. I had a
great day and am really happy with the way things are going right now. Sadly,
my brother Jake fell victim to the dangerously fast fields and broke his
collarbone pretty bad. I wish him a speedy recovery. Now were looking forward
to the last national next weekend in Indiana.
