Pre-Race: This was the final round of the series and it seemed it would be a great one. I knew there would be more competition here because it was co-sanctioned with the
Texas enduro series so I was ready for some good racing!
Race: The first couple of tests were tough for me to get started, and I struggled with
lappers. The third test was one of my favorites and I was able to keep it
smooth through there. The second loop was a lot better for me than the first. I
didn’t crash any in those sections so I was feeling good. During the second gas
I put some fresh Silkolene brake fluid in my rear brakes and was ready for the
last loop. The last section was “A” only, and that was exactly what it was. I
managed to make it through the rough three miles safe, and ended the day in 3rd.
This wasn’t my best day, but I was happy to wrap up the Black Jack Enduro
Championship for the year!
