I rode up to the event with Jake Atchison early Sunday morning. The temperature was in the low 40′s, so we decided to wear a jacket. The race was somewhat uneventful. The club has been having trouble with land usage due to the new forestry service guy so we were only able to ride the “blue loop”. I zeroed the first two loops pretty easily, but messed up on the tie breaker checks. I forgot to start my computer when the row ahead of us took off, so I was 9 seconds off all day, but didn’t realize it until after the race. The last loop was one special test, that was tight and typical White Rock trail. I rode my KTM to the max, and won that test. At the end of the day, I got beat by 2 seconds by Dale Rector because of those tie breaker checks that I was off on. All in all, it was a good day and I was happy with the way I rode in the one special test.
Results (overall): 1. Dale Rector (KTM)
2. Zach Ingram (KTM)
3. Spencer Cook (KTM)
