National Enduro Round 2

Forrest Hill, LA

March 20, 2011

Pre Race: We rolled into the camp around 3 p.m on Saturday. We tested the bikes on the practice trail, got registered, and started preparing mentally.

Race: The first test was very tight and didn’t flow very well. I did well until I came to a place where the ribbon was down. At first I followed the flow of the trail, but then turned around and rode back to make sure I didn’t miss anything. I ended up going back the same way I was headed, and lost about 30 seconds. They ended up throwing that test out, so it didn’t hurt me. The rest of the test’s were relatively fast single track. I was able to ride fast, but I kept making little mistakes. I crashed in four of the six tests. All in all it was a good day for me and everyone from Arkansas. I was really proud of my little brother Jake who rode his first ever National, and won overall C. I’m now looking forward to the first round of the Black Jack Enduro Series this weekend.

Results (250A): 1. Paddy Holloway (KTM)

                                2. Jason Harvey (Suz)

                                3. Cary Everts (KTM)
