Zach Ingram National Enduro Round 7

Pre-Race: Dad and I decided to fly to a race for the first time. We shipped our bikes with
ABF in a ReloCube. We got on a plane Saturday morning and were in Michigan by
noon. It took us a while to go get the rental truck, get the bikes loaded, get
food and gas, then drive to the race, but we made it to the track around 7. We
got signed up (unfortunately on row 56) and were ready for a good race in the
tight, dusty woods of Michigan.

Race: The first test was pretty bad for me. The trails were so rough and beat up, causing
me to get unbearable arm pump. The second test was a little better consisting
of really tight woods. I went down once, but overall I felt good. Next was the
first gas away from camp. The gas stops that aren’t at camp are really tough
for us because we don’t have a pit crew to bring us all our little wants and
needs. We got filled with gas, filled our camelbacks, and were back out. Test
three was about like the first one. I crashed right off the bat which pretty
much set my pace for the rest of the test. I finished it off and was determined
to eliminate the mistakes for the rest of the day. The fourth test was more of
the tight, sandy woods. I rode really well through there and was starting to
get a little more confident. The fifth and sixth tests were short 5 milers. I
pushed hard through both of those and finished the long and hot day. I ended up
2^nd in 250A and 17^th overall.  It wasn’t my best ride ever, but all in all
I’m happy with the day and can’t wait until the next one we will be at in Ohio.
I want to give a special thanks to the Airgroup Radiant Racing team for the
prize money my team won with the best overall time on the day.
